To configure the Answer Block, go to HighGround → Settings, then click the Blocks tab.
The Answer Block generates a concise, direct answer to the question or topic posed in your post title. HighGround sends the post title and full article content to the AI, which produces a short response designed to answer the reader’s query immediately. This is particularly effective for targeting featured snippets and voice search results.

Block Title
The heading displayed above the AI-generated answer. Customize this to fit your site’s tone - for example, “Short Answer,” “Quick Answer,” “The Bottom Line,” or “In Brief.” Whatever you enter here is used consistently across all posts that include an answer block.
Insertion Location
Controls where the answer block appears within the article. Four options are available:
Top of Post - Places the block at the very beginning, before any other content. Readers get the answer immediately, which is ideal for search-intent-driven content where users want a fast response.
Before First Heading - Places the block after your introduction but before the first H2 section. This lets the intro provide context before delivering the direct answer.
After Post - Places the block at the end of the article as a conclusion-style summary. Useful when you want readers to go through the full content before seeing the distilled answer.
Manual (Gutenberg Block) - Does not auto-insert the block. Instead, a dedicated HighGround Answer Gutenberg block is made available for you to place anywhere you want within the editor.
Custom Prompt
An optional free-text field where you can guide how the AI writes the answer. For example, you might write “Keep the answer under two sentences,” “Always start with a direct yes or no,” or “Write at a 6th-grade reading level.” A Restore to default option is available to reset the field.
Enable Speakable Schema
When enabled, HighGround attaches Speakable structured data (JSON-LD) to any post containing an answer block. This markup tells search engines and voice assistants like Google Assistant that the answer content is suitable for text-to-speech playback. It increases your content’s eligibility for voice search results, where Google reads an answer aloud in response to a spoken query. When disabled, the answer block still appears visually on the page but without the speakable schema markup.
Saving
Click Save Settings to apply your changes. These settings take effect on the next post HighGround creates. Answer blocks in existing posts are not retroactively modified.
